The thyroid is butterfly shaped gland that sits at the base of your neck and governs many of the processes in our body such as brain function, muscle strength, skin and hair health, and helps control our weight and can impact on our fertility, mood and energy. 

 

Some common signs of an under functioning thyroid include: 

  • Thinning hair 

  • Dry flaky skin

  • Difficulty losing weight

  • Finding it hard to adjust to temperatures and feeling cold often, with cold hands and feet
